Balance. I'm convinced that most people don't realize how important it is to the overall quality of their lives. Without balance in all four areas of your life (physical, social, professional and spiritual) it's just impossible to live life to its fullest.
Let me explain how balance relates to every aspect of your life.
Being human means you are composed of many bodies, integral yet separate. You can readily understand you have a physical body, but there's more. Think of your mind, your physical body, your emotions, and your spiritual self as separate bodies - or parts
- of you. These parts comprise the total you. All these parts have different needs.
Balance is another name for harmony. Without harmony you are fighting within yourself. If you are out of balance, you cannot grow as you could when every part of you is unified and nurtured.
It is like the saying, "a house divided against itself cannot stand." When you know the requirements of each part, you can furnish exactly what each needs to heal and grow while staying unified. With this unification, tremendous joy, strength, and a new quality of depth will develop in your life.
You are the most effective and can achieve the most in your life when all parts of you are happy and healthy. If you decide not to take care of yourself as a whole, you live with the consequences of being less than you could be.
Actions That Create Balance
Each of your bodies affects the other parts of yourself, your outlook on life, and the actions you take. If one part of your life overshadows another, imbalance occurs. If you work all the time and don't take time to rest or play, you eventually become unbalanced. This lessens your effectiveness as a person.
To drive home this point, I want to share with you the realizations of Dr. Cindi.
Dr. Cindi came to me at her wits' end. She was feeling out of control and exhausted. At her first session she told me she had barely eked out the hour to see me.
During our first session, I found out she never gave her any free time or did anything to nurture herself. She gave all her time and energy to her patients, husband, and children. She was a typical dysfunctional nurturer, accepting all the responsibility of her business and home life, leaving no time for her. Dr. Cindi wanted peace of mind badly, and she was willing to embrace new concepts. I explained to her about balance and self-love. I told her when she took time out to recharge and have fun her whole life would prosper. I emphasized the need for healthy boundaries and releasing the responsibility for other adults. I then put her through the hypnosis process to bring these new concepts deeper into her subconscious.
She came back the next week beaming! During the space of a week, she set boundaries with her teenage son and husband and scheduled two half-days off to have fun. She felt like a new woman. Before, she couldn't even see how she was going to come for an hour's session; now, because her conscious and subconscious beliefs were coming into harmony, she was aware she could change anything in her life.
Week after week, her life continued to improve. Her business increased as well as her time off. Her family relationships got even better, and she noticed how her energy affected everyone in her life. When she felt balanced and nurtured, she could see more patients and have a deeper, more satisfying family life.
She realized her energy affected everything in her life, and when she was out of balance, so was the rest of her life. Before she was a victim; now she is on the road to mastery!
Balance occurs and is created in the moment. There are times when it is right and balanced to work more, and there are times when it is perfect to play more. I always ask myself this question to discover what I need for balance and harmony in my own life: "What do I need at this moment to create value in my life now?"
That question helps me zero in on what I need for balance and harmony. Value to me means allowing me to be all I can be in every category of my life.
I am amazed when people say they don't know what they need or want in life. If you really don't know, act as if you do.
Eventually, you will allow yourself to know. As Soul, your highest self, you always know the answers. These answers go beyond logic and reason to pure understanding.
Let yourself have what you need. You probably have been taught to deny your needs but by allowing yourself permission to have what you need you create your life to your fullest potential!
Remember, you are the only one that can give yourself balance.
Start today and create the balance that you need!
Please feel free to pass this on to anyone.
Change your beliefs and change your life!
