David Bruckner is in talks to direct the pilot for a new MTV
TV series based on the Scream movies that were shot in ATL.
Dimension Films believes in him so much that they have just
approved a “Proof of Concept” shoot to sell him to MTV.
Anyway…We shoot TUESDAY. - Yes, this Tuesday!
I need GREAT actors that can play 17-18 year old high school
students. They need to be that MTV pretty, although a quirky one could probably
make the cut. They need to be able to act. No starting kids. I need kids with
credits and real talent. Kids looking to break out of ATL and that have the
skills to do it if given the opportunity.
The money isn’t great, but it’s not bad either - $400 + 20%
agency fee.
It’s a late split. 6pm to 6am.
We’re shooting two scenes, so we won’t need them all night.
They can be any ethnicity, a good mix of girls and boys. I
will need a total of 7 kids.
I have one role out of the seven that is the opening scene
from the pilot. It requires a bikini, as the girl gets changed into one, then
hops in a hot tub, where she of course is destined to die at the hands of the
killer. There is NO nudity, but we will show TV safe body parts as part of the
gag is she thinks she’s having a conversation, and she will have prosthetics as
she gets stabbed and sliced.
This is a great opportunity for some really great ATL kids.
The scenes will be presented to the major players at Dimension (Bob Weinstein
is a huge fan of David’s) and the network executives at MTV, who are he heads
of production of all their shows - Teen Wolf, etc.
We’ll have casting sessions this weekend.
I just thought in your travels and teaching, that you might
know some great kids looking for an opportunity. Please send any great kids you
know my way!
